Nature of the service

Legionella Screen is an independent reference on legionella compliance for buildings and cooling towers. It sells no sampling, analysis or treatment, helps you scope what your building actually needs, and passes that scoped request to a qualified water management or sampling professional covering your area. With the requester’s agreement, given on the call back, a submitted request is shared with one independent environmental or laboratory service provider, the one that quotes the job. Sampling, laboratory analysis, the interpretation of results, program development, remediation and any dispute arising from that work are the sole responsibility of those companies and of the qualified professionals who perform it.

Nothing on this site is medical advice, public health guidance or a statement about anyone’s health. If illness is suspected or confirmed, contact your local or state health department and the clinicians involved. Nothing here interprets a laboratory result, and no threshold or action level is published anywhere on this site. Statements about standards, program expectations, laboratory methods or regulatory requirements must be verified against their authoritative source, the applicable industry standard, federal and state requirements and public health guidance, as they apply to a specific building at the time.

No page on this site should be relied on to determine whether a building is safe, to interpret a result, or to establish compliance. Those are matters for qualified professionals and, where health is involved, for public health authorities.
